I was a happy Droid owner (minus the voice transmit issue that will hopefully soon be fixed) until last night when I went to turn my Droid on. I was greeted with the display not turning on, but the sound still working. This morning I had the same issue so I took to phone to Verizon to look at it. While they were fiddling with it a small mark appeared on the bottem, right-hand side of the screen. The Verizon reps came back to me and said it was condensation and accused me of getting the phone wet, even though the mosture mark thing under the battery cover was NOT triggered. They refused to help me further and told me I'd have to buy a new phone because Motorola wouldn't service it. I did NOT get the screen or any other part of the phone wet, so what the heck could have caused this? I also do not expose the phone to steam (I don't take it into the bathroom when I shower). I do no have $559.00 that Verizon wants to charge me to buy a new Droid. I've only had the phone for about 40 days...what should I do? This is complete bull crap and I cannot believe I am stuck with a new 2-year contract and no working phone. HELP!
