Has anybody noticed how sluggish the latest OS update has made your phone? I have the Droid 2 Motorola and since the last OS update the phone is very sluggish to respond. Applications a slow to start and respond. Some of the new look is good, but it seems to be at the cost of performance. Is there a way to compensate for this or will there be a 2.3.4 that fixes the sluggish nature of the phone now?

Without more information than "sluggish", I'd suggest the following in this order if you have not done so already and check improvement after each step.
- Power phone off and on, battery pull etc. (Assume you have already tried this).
- Power the phone up in "Safe Mode" to see if one of your downloaded apps may be causing the problem.
- Do a cache/data clear on the more troublesome apps and see if things improve. Use Menu > Manage apps > All and then touch the app you want to clear
- Do a system cache clear.
- If no improvement, then do a factory reset. Be aware that a factory reset is pretty destructive and be prepared to: reload all of your apps, maybe lose text messages unless you have them saved, and re-setup your social apps and email accounts. Make sure you have backed up your contacts either via Gmail (my recommendation) or Verizon Backup Assistant (only if you chose not to do Gmail).
Good luck.
