I can't seem to figure out how to get my Incredible to vibrate when i get a text message. I turned down the ringer volume to vibrate expecting it to vibrate when I get texts, but when I get a text it does nothing, no notification sound and no vibrate either, eventhough in the messages setting I have vibrate turned on for received messages.
Any ideas?

I am having the same issue! My phone vibrated when I recieved a text up until 2 days ago. I actually came to post the same question. All of my settings are the same and I have turned my phone off as well as removed the batt. The problem is still the same. Any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem, changed every setting possible for the "vibrate" notification. Local VZW store was useless as well. I did however pick up the extended battery while since the one that came with the phone barely lasted a day with minimal usage and nothing running. Not regretting it yet...but may actually be missing my trusty blackberry

Ive actually tried both, although I prefer the stock version best. Even with the other text apps it still does not vibrate, so annoying

Go through all of your messaging apps and ensure that in the notifications area vibrate is enabled and you have changed the sound notification from whatever sound to "none" or "silent".

I'm just using the stock messaging app, I've tried every combination of notifcation setting and vibrate just does not work, it works for calls but not for texts.

I had the same issue with incoming emails.
Download Sound Manager app, go into settings and under notification settings select Vibrate whenever possible. This fixed it for me.
