Vibrating while Texting

As I've been reading, there seem to be a lot of issues with the new update. I made the mistake of updating my Droid X this morning and have regretted it ever since.

My main issue with my phone now is how it vibrates while I'm texting. This may seem stupid, but is there any way to make it stop doing that? It's extremely annoying.

Thanks for your help!

Settings / Language and Keyboard / Multi-touch Keyboard / Uncheck Vibrate on keypress.

Either disable haptic feedback or go into the keyboard settings and uncheck the vibrate box.

Hey geri do you use  Handsent   or  lightflow  for your Notification alearts. meaning so you can change LED light Colors.

I must be typing with invisible text.

I swear I posted before Wildman did about unchecking the box in keyboard settings.

Granted he did the hand holding with telling you how to get there, but he gets credit for it twice in the same thread when I said it first.

Not the first time I've solved an issue in a thread and the credit went to someone else I'm assuming because of either their name or their number of posts.

Not upset with you WM you're just helping like many others, me for instance.

Maybe from  now on instead of helping I'll just start bashing people for not being smart enough to figure out the simple things on their own. I bet my posts won't be invisible then.

Sorry that you feel this way but may I point something out to you that may make things easier....  I have learned that when a user are posting for a solution to a issues they usually do not know how to do the solution you give and it would help if you give the user instructions on how to solve the issue...  You can tell someone to clear cache but without instuctions on how to do this you might just tell some to build a new nucular power source.

Once again I mean no disrepect, just pointing out something I noticed..

@POSTERS LOOKING FOR SOLUTION OPTIONS

I found one of the best solutions for the GB keyboard lag when typing...  Check my new post at http://community.vzw.com/t5/Android-Apps/BEST-KEYBOARD-REPLACEMENT-EVER/td-p/572950

If a person isn't smart enough to go to settings, then see the part where it says KEYBOARD, then perhaps they don't need to have a smartphone. Maybe they should just get two cups and a {word filter avoidance} string!

I bet this isn't invisible!!!!

Pool please don't feel that you need to take this personal, I have had a number of answers that I have posted as a solution by other users without posting original source and received acknowledgement for the solution, this is what happens on forums and I don't get upset, I am just glad that my solution is able to help the user.

After all is done the user needed a answer and they have received it so I try not to concern myself with whose answer the user accepts.  They usually acknowledge the one that was clear and helpful for them.

I have to agree with this (not the part about Wildman at all) that very rarely do helpful posts get noticed on here. I've found that much more often, when you post something sarcastic or mean, you get more notice. I can't tell you how many times I've replied to a post giving them a flat out solution (being nice, even) and someone will post after me saying the exact same thing I do, and their post gets the solution. I guess some people on here read from the bottom post up instead of chronological order.

Dinc, I had quoted the OP with basic quotation marks as I was on my phone and it's pretty clumsy to quote someone while writing on the forum using the phone.

I use Handcent and I have the LED set to red for text notifications. It has always worked well, even on the X2.

See ya, G

Still hate the updates? Perhaps someone here can help with those minor (non-main) issues.

For crying out loud "dinc", the word "their" shows possession. It's "their phone", not "there phone". "If they're new", not "there". Once is an oversight. Twice is either laziness, or well, sad. But, this isn't English class, so "ignore" that comment.

Pool, this is not the place to "participate" if you are looking for a pat on the back. Even back when I was trying to offer assistance (rather than rant against GB), I rarely was acknowledged.

Wildman is very knowledgeable and, quite honestly, I would take his advice over most anyone else. The others' points are also good. Newbies need hand-holding.

Pool, keep contributing and don't get disgusted with your phone, GB, Moto and Android in general, like I did. My two cents.
