Are you accessing them from a wifi connection, usually the video files are large and require a wifi connection to access the files because of the file size limit the network has... Also how are you sending the and recieving the files?

My wifi is connected but I still cannot add a video to a text message. Is there some other way I should be trying to send a video as a text? I have tried it through both the regular messages app and handcent and neither works. I'm probably just being stupid about it but I can't seem to figure it out....

Thanks to the community for posting. I can understand it can be troubling not being able to send video messages. The best way to send a video message is to follow these steps:
Tap Messaging > Create new Message > Tap Menu > Tap Attach > Tap Video > Tap Camcorder or Video > Tap Camera Shots or All Video and select desired Video or picture.
I am certain that this will resolve your issues. Thanks.
