Visual Voicemail on Droid Incredible

I have recently upgraded to the HTC Droid Incredible. I subscribed to Visual Voicemail. However, when I try to login, it always says couldn't contact voicemail server. I am able to get in basic voicemail. Does anyone have any suggestions that would help?

Suggestions? Yeah, drop the VVM from Verizon and save yourself the $3/month.

Check out an application called YouMail in the Android Marketplace. It's FREE VVM that works the same as Verizon's app. Plus you're able to check and manage your voicemails from a PC too, not just your phone.

For that matter it takes a minute to get an invite unless you know someone who has some or if you are a student and have a .edu e-mail address (which google is giving priority invites too or was a week or so ago) to Google Voice. The transcriptions are almost never right but it is convenient and does more than VVM.

Google Voice is definitely awesome and worth the wait for an invite. I got my invite only a few days ago - so I haven't completely explored everything GV can do. Have any tips or something special you like?

In the meantime, while waiting for an invite, YouMail is a great alternative.

Thanks for the advice, but I am unable to find Youmail on my HTC Droid Incredible. I have checked under pay and free in the Android Market. Could you help?

Android apps are now found in Google searches. Google voice, well I route my PocoMail through it so I get rather messed up but there transcription but better than that I can hear the vms without using minutes. Delete or skip sales or collections messages and check voice mail from any computer with network access. Also if someone calls my GV number Monday - Friday between 7:30 and 5 it rings both phones so I don't use minutes talking to whomever. Oh and free texts so long as I don't have texts sent to my phone as well which since GV will give notifications I don't see the need in having them sent to my phone. Someday soon I think it will have a voip option probably by subscription which was the main reason I wanted it. That disappointed me but I like it a lot for what it does.
