When I have a voicemail, instead of being notified in the notification area with the visual voicemail icon, I am getting a text from Verizon telling me that I have voicemail activity and need to click on the VVM icon to reactivate. I click on the icon and have to refresh for the voicemail to appear. Why is it doing this? It use to work fine.

Have you setup the Visual Voice Mail App on the device because I had the same issue when ever I got a new phone and forget to setup the app.. Open your Voice Mail app and input you login information should resolve your issue..
