I'm just discovering the wonders of Voice Command. However, after I click it, after not using it for some time, it takes over 30 seconds before it says "Say a command". I've gone through and 'deselected' the apps I don't need voice command for, but it still takes a long time.
1. Is there any way to speed this up?
2. Can these voice commands be used with a bluetooth earpiece?
3. Is there some way to say "Send text to whoever" and then continue using voice only to compose and send the text? I can get to the text message, but then I have to click on the mic icon.
4. Is it possible to edit an email or text message (e.g. backspace, delete letter, etc.) using voice command?
For some strange reason, I tend to get a lot of texts as soon as I start driving, and complete voice command and texting would be very helpful and much safer.

Yer right, it's like an alarm goes off to those people when I get in the truck, especially a semi....
I've been playing with the voice commands for dialing numbers and yeah, that delay is annoying. But I've played with that and I can't get it to speed up. It's odd that it happens on the first voice command made after some time. But I've gotten used to it. Oh, yeah, I use a Jawbone and voice-dial on a regular basis.
Don't know about the edit functions, that would be fun to find out. I may play with that in the office tomorrow (before I clock in, of course...)
I gave up on voice-texting altogether and not because it doesn't work decently enough. I just don't do it anymore. If I get a text, I'll try to call...err...voice-dial...the person that sent the text. If I can't get them, I have a pre-made text that is 3 easy clicks away saying that I'm driving and can't respond to a text right now. I kinda wish I could set an auto-respond text with that driving message, like they do with email when someone goes on vacation and leaves an auto-reply message (I dunno, there may be a way that I don't know about...?).
Is anyone getting text messages from business clients these days? For some reason, I find that discerning and just a little less than professional, but it may just me being un-hip and behind the times, no?....

Just yesterday, a friend texted me several times while I was in a meeting. I, of course, couldn't text her back immediately...even after she sent me a rather angry text about why I wasn't responding back to her.

I try to use my personal phone only for personal issues...not for work. Business colleagues know that I prefer email communication. But, then, I do get my work email on my personal phone <sigh>. I certainly don't give out my personal cell number to my clients/patients at work.
