I am a new Droid user and was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to setup notification and reminder for new voicemails besides the small icon at the top.

Is the new update fixing this
I use google voice so voicemails are in text form and you can also play them immediately. no more calling your #, input pin, chose option, chose to keep or delete.
The voice to text needs a little work, but you can get the gist of the voicemail. or just listen with the tap of a button.
There is no popup notification, still in top bar. but everything else about it is easier.
