Anyone know how to get the voice mail icon to disappear once the messages are erased.
I have read your post and understand the concern with your device.
You can take these steps:
Check your voicemail inbox to assure you do not have any unchecked voicemails.
Disable Google Voice. Leave yourself a voicemail. Log in to your voicemail system. Check and delete the message. Re-enable Google Voice
You can also do a soft reset.
Press and hold the Power button.
Touch Power off.
Press and hold the Power button to power on the device.
If your speaking of the icon in the notification area, try pulling down the notification and see what the notification is telling you the reason for the alert because the alert maybe reporting something other than a incoming message. If you deleted a message you normally recieve a notification letting you know the messages has been updated.
Start a new topic or ask questions in the open forum.
