I am aware that people are leaving me voicemail on my Droid, but when I dial in to get it, *86, all I get is my own message to my callers. What do I need to do to get my voicemails that I know are piling up somewhere?

There is an alternate way that you can get into your voicemail. Generally, if you press the # key while on your recording, it will ask you for your password. Enter your password, and press # again to access your voicemail. If dialing *86 doesn't work, it could be because you're in extended network.
As an alternative, you can dial your full 10-digit phone number (like you're calling yourself), press # when your greeting comes on, enter your voicemail password, and press # again.
Let me know if this resolves your issue or you have any other questions.
Regards,
