This is my experience on my Droid X. Whenever I use the voice dialer with my bluetooth (Jawbone) the volume of notifications, ringer, and media drops to nearly inaudible levels. Oddly, these volumes can be restored by plugging-in and then removing a headphone jack, or if I call voice mail with the handset. I can use my bluetooth without the voice dialer and there is no effect on volumes. I can use a wired headset with the voice dialer and no effect. It is only when I use the bluetooth and voice dialer together that I lose volume. It seems that the phone gets confused in managing volumes for different situations. So for me, if I use the voice dialer and bluetooth I restore the other volumes by making a quick connect to voice mail and hang-up, or plug-in and remove a headphone jack. Not a great solution but best I can figure out. Any other ideas?

Try to unpair the device and pair it up again. Once you have done so, press and hold the name of your bluetooth device to access the settings. Verify that the device is set for voice only. Having it set to music and voice could interfere with the connection. Hope this helps!
