Anyone know approx. how long before the update complete... is given to the last group ? Looking for an estimated wait time?
last I heard was that it's "supposed" to be done by Aug 18th. But this is Verizon so who knows.
I wouldn't be surprised if Froyo was the last "official" Google update for the Droid. There was a rumored min spec list for Gingerbread being passed around (1GHz, 512ram, etc) but Google shot it down and said it wasn't real so who knows. Either way, I'm sure the developers will get most of it ported to the droid if it isn't officially available.
My Verizon rep (I have Droid for employees) told me all updates have been sent out (not true by looking at the forums) and that we are to receive the notication via Gmail. To check our Gmail accounts. (this is just silly)
Everything on the Verizon site and info my rep has sent me and looking at forms show it is just a notification that pops up- similar to app updates in android market. I am more frusterated with differnet information being given out depnding on the source.
I was talking about 2.2 and had heard it was finished but keep seeing people continue to get it. I haven't met anyone here in SE Mn. that has it yet. I also heard this will be our last update.
I am in Orlando...haven't received the update yet either.
I live in Brooklyn New York...NO update yet....i hope to get it sometime this week...i called verizon wireless customer service and they told me it was pushed on August 13...someone from technical support said it can take a week to a week and a half after this date to get the update.
