Warranty replacement: Still have to wait 2+ weeks for a functioning phone?

I called in on Aug 2 for a warranty replacement and the rep said I would have it on Aug 5. Aug 5 is here and no phone, no tracking number, and all I get from VZW is that the order is pending.

Has anyone got their warranty replacement right away or is it normal to be pushed to the back of the line?

because the orders are so backed up you still would have to wait as if you're getting a new one cause I as well am waiting on another replacement for my droid x

There is a back up as it appears. All you will have to do is wait. That or you can try to get a different android phone.

i also got the verizon customer service people to order me a new replacement phone since mine was faulty and getting crappy call reception. she said i have to wait until August 18th.......so im still waiting for august 18th to come along...
