We would really like an upgrade to Gingerbread.... really!

When I purchased this phone, a primary reason was that I wanted a front facing camera....  I'd be happy either with an update to 2.3 or an update to Google video chat or Skype that would WORK on Adroid 2.2.

THey may skip to Icecream 2.4 still. No statement on if they will do 2.3.3 on current released devices. There was a hint they were then a hint that a modified 2.4 was in the works.

Have you tried Fring, Tango, or Qik for video chatting.

They all suck and or you have to have everyone you want to video chat with down load it. The leaked skype for the Tbolt was awesome because lots of people use skype and it works to a PC. Same goes for google chat w/ video everyone with an Android has a gmail and can video chat phone to phone or phone to PC if we could get a little support from the software makers.

your best bet will likely be a leaked version of skype for the charge....like the tbolt has. as greenrobot mentioned, it runs great and is a MUCH better option than qik or any of the others. since the fascinate just got froyo, i would look for gingerbread on the charge next spring  :smileysad:

1st is there a leaked Skype for the Charge? I've tried the Tbolt version and it's a no go.
