What do you do if the Droid phone goes dead?

You Power down and then power back up.

That's easy

But what can cause Mike and Speaker to fo dead?

Voice command input worke

Music played amd Voice command spoke

Incoming call Rang but couldn't hear the caller and the caller could not hear me.

Used the land line to work around

Power cycled the phone and it started working

What could cause a Droid X to malfunction in this manner?

Did you install or update any apps right before this happened? That could be your problem.

Can't recall installing any new apps. The problem reoccurs and gives no hint until you get a call and find there is no incoming or outgoing audio.

try a factory reset, maybe somethign got corrupted.

this will wipe all your data/contacts/emails/texts though

I am pacing test calls to the DX to see wnen it fails.

I did change the RingTone recently. I will change it back to see what happens.
