I had an LG Ally that was replaced 4 times and then vzw sent me a Droid2 as the replacement, which I just rec'd the 2nd replacement. So my issue is this, when I rec'd the 1st droid the keyboard looked and felt just like the ones in the store, idk exactly how to describe it, the were smooth/bubbly(where the keys are) with no real 'lines' in the face of the keyboard. The replacement I rec'd yesterday the keyboard was sort of flat and had a bubble near the space bar(the guy in the store ordered a replacement) I suppose based on the fact that the phone was out of alignment and the case didn't fit(he warrantied that and the case still didn't fit). So I rec the replacement today and I am looking at the keyboard and the only way I can describe it is that it looks like the keys are flattened, and my case still didn't fit. I went into the store(a different store) today and the sales guys says that the Droid2 and the D2G have different keyboards.....I was like hmmm okay, but the first phone I had which was a D2 had the keyboard you say is supposed to be on a D2G? he says no, and of course he has no D2 in the store to compare. Also about the case not fitting he says that the cases that come in a lighter box do not work with the phone, he was about to send me out of the store with the same case that didn't fit, that if I dropped the phone wouldn't stay on at all, but he went in the back and came out with the case on properly. I have no clue as to what he did, and he didn't document it like they normally do. I am not trying to be difficult but that doesn't seem right to me. The keyboard on this phone seems to look like it has been used/abused. Also the other thing that I have noted about this phone so far is that the touch screen is laggy in some spots, is there a way to calibrate it?

Hi Franchescadaye,
The keyboards on the two devices mentioned do have slight differences. Whether a case designed for one Droid would fit on another Droid could depends. This is because not all cases flex to shape and/or may not match perfectly align to key button areas on the device. Also, the representative may not need to document anything for adjusting a case on a phone. This action does not require account access. In fitting a case to a phone is something that is commonly helped with upon customer request.
Also, in going to two stores with the replacement device, an abused keyboard should have been noticeable; especially if helped with fitting a case on the phone. Usually a phone would be looked out prior to anything being done to the phone. This would avoid being the cause of the problem in touching the device to fit a case. Do you know if the keyboard abuse issue was clearly pointed out at either of the two stores when visited? All the replacement devices go through a detailed 100 point inspection prior to them being released as a replacement devices. Also, the Droid 2 has a glass screen finish and is unable to be calibrated. You can try to adjust the Display Orientation to adjust your screen concern.
For Display Orientation
1. Display settings
2. Menu
3. Settings.
4. Display
5. Orientation.
