I've researched the problem and it is no secret. The canned answer is return it for replacement. But what do you do when the phone outlast the warranty by 1 week or the damage phone policy cost you money for a new phone when the damage is not your fault but the fault of the manufacturer?
OK, tried safe mode and screen continues to flicker at all times, same as before. Safe mode was not a solution.
