Trying to BT pix from one to the other.
Both say Paired but not Connected
Open Gallery, select a pic and click menu/Share/bluetooth and then choose the other droid
Other DX sounds off with the Droid sound
Process goes on for a minute or two
Receiving DX says This transfer was canceled by the user
Sending DX says The request can not be handled correctly
What would keep a DX from blue toothing a picture that it had taken to another DX??

An audible alert occurs on DroidX upon recept; then, pull down notification bar and select "Accept". Transfer complete.

The Gallery is native to the DX. The Gallery menu has a Share button and the Share menu has a Bluetooth menu item and the BT screen allows selection of the other DX. So if it won't support Bluetoothing pix then the menu items should be greyed out or non-existent.

Good point but I have not been able to tranfer images or audio through blluetooth using the stock app, I used a app called Bluetooth File Transfer that worked better for me but I do not transfer file like that very often, its easier to send it as MMS or Email, lot less headaches. I have been able to tranfer files with my my old Razor but it had a option to connect as a network adhock profile that allowed me to see the device as a internal storage device on my phone and I just copy to that folder, kind of like plugging Droid X in as a Mass Storage on your PC.
Hears a example of the unsent files I just tried to send to verify issue still exist... If theres a way I must have overlooked it and I have tried every way I can think of and none of them send from the stock app..

I guess you are right. I just tested and the Pix are too large to send by text msg and that is another menu item.
Do you have the clout to get an Administrator involved? Seems reasonable to fix the menu options so that they work or remove the options or provide documentation that explains the limits of the options. Hey I'm just sayin.

Admins ping in from time to time but all they can do is place the issue as a service ticket that usually has to have a number of reports before they address it... READ OVER THIS POST.... Thanks for the link to Paired but not connected.
I see it's pretty much all over the place. Some say contzcts and Pix only but I can't do pix over BT or MMS.
So I can either email or get the app from the market .
Shame they crippled the phone.
Thanks for your effort and thanks again for the link to the other forum.

The receiving DX will need to manually select "Accept" when pix arrives or it will time out.
DX will not say connected when BT between two devices.

The Incredible supports the FTP or OPP connection profiles, but the Droid X bluetooth stacks are limited by Motorolas programming, does the transmission go both ways, I understand you can recieve on Increduble but how about to the Droid X, can you recieve to your Droid X?

Voila, excellente, Wunderbar. Thank you all for your help.
I can not bluetooth Pix DX to Dx and back again.
Can't believe that I was so dumb that I couldn't figure out that there needed to be Human interaction on the receiving end. That did it! When the Receiving Droid says "DROID" the Human has to pull down the notifications screen and accept the incoming file. So Cool as we used to say back in the '50s

I never thought of checking status area, im going to have to try that also on mine.
UPDATE: Just tried that on my Droid X and Samsung Impression and the files went through perfectly... shows you can experiment with a number of things and still overlook the simplest things..
Thanks for pointing this out...
