Hi All,
I have the moto droid and I am wondering, when I connect up to my high speed cable wifi ( it makes the moto screaming fast) will I be using up part of my 5 gig limit (unlimited plan) or does the phone data tranfers only count data when I am on the Verizon network?
Thanks, Signy

When using WiFi make sure 3G is off. You will not be using your 5 gigabit or bite pool because you will not be using the Verizon data network.

If you are connected via WiFi, 3G is off.

Thanks guys, Sorry about the **bleep** questions but, I just started with smart phones however I have been burned in the past with understanding phone contracts and it's just good to know stuff ahead of time. I mentioned the the 5 gig limit because I had heard about it from "the tech guy" and did not research it.
Thanks everybody for the good answers, Signy

YOU DO NOT HAVE A 5 GB LIMIT. Unlimited data means UNLIMITED DATA.

Thank you Jim. I too am getting tired of people thinking/saying they have the 5gb cap on their phone. It is for the data cards people, not your phones.
