Trying to get rid of a lot of "pre-installed" apps. Can't find the trash can on either the home pages nor the list of apps.

Long press on icon till it vibrates & turns red, then look @ bottom of screen, drag & drop. However, if it is (1) thats pre-installed u can't uninstall, u can only remove icon from home screen

Sorry to tell you, but all the preinstalled apps are there for good. You can not delete any of these apps.
