It may be possible you've reached your Text messaging limit, If this is an email I would check with your cache in that Email and you might try running a clearing of the Cache Partition... Hope this helps

It's not an email. It showed up when I tried to read a text message and I didn't that maybe I need to clear my text messages. I'll clear my text messages and see if that helps.
Thanks for your help! ![]()

My phone is still doing the same. I cleared most of my text messages and I'm getting the same error message from certain texts.

Mrs.Hayden14 We understand the importance of being able to use text and upload pictures. Let's see what's going on with your phone. What device are you using? Also, turn off wifi and bluetooth if they're enabled. Click the troubleshooting link and select your device, then select text messaging and follow the steps in the guide. http://vz.to/12TLCsR .

I am so upset. Please read my messages from my postings. This has nothing to do with SIM Card, Hard Reset, Apps, Google Gmail Account, nothing. I have gone thru all of this and NOTHING has fixed this. I went to the store today and spoke to the manager on duty. He said he had to try and duplicate the problem before he could help me. I showed him "screen captures" I did, told him it's out here on the board, etc. etc. Needless to say I ended up coming home with the same phone, "he" erased the phone and started over again. Well guess what, it's not a error with "MY" Gmail account being corrupted because if that is the case Mrs. Hayden14 has a bad Gmail account too. If you guessed it, the phone just crashed again! I was able this time to capture a report with ALL the history in it and saved screen captures to PROVE to him this is not a joke. Even the report says "Crash". This time it was something else I don't even or ever have used. I have also wasted over a day , yes a full work day on this without question.
I have had to get the run around for the last day. This is totally ridiculous, including them putting me on hold for 55 min. Oh, that's another funny story. Anyways, tomorrow morning I am going to the Verizon store one last and final time and I hope they decided to do the right thing and give me a phone that does not crash and works. It would be handy at work for me, especially where I work at. I hope hope hope someone listens to and helps me. I would love for them to see me walk in, take my phone and say to me were going to get you another phone, hand it to me, see if it works and prove it's the device. I don't hear anyone having this issue on other phone types so sounds like its the phone type.
I have had 3 phones now in the matter of 2 weeks. I am sure the FedEx charges will add up to a cost of a new phone at some point and start to outbalance your requirement to give me the same phone when it has the same problem.
Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow.

I understand your discontent and your concerns regarding this messaging issue Alanwinn! I was experiencing the same issue and I was able to resolved it by downloading, installing and using http://bit.ly/13rcZfv the Verizon Wireless Messages App. I have not seen this error since I'm using this app (about 3 weeks ago), give it a try and keep us posted.

was this ever solved? the SMS on my and my girlfriend's phone have both begun not functioning. (ever since the last OS update, its been glitch after glitch with every app.) we've taken the usual steps: reboot, clear cache, etc. everything shy of factory reset, which is frankly more troublesome than getting a new device, which might be the underlying drive behind reluctance to fix the issue: inoperable phones = new phone sales.

I am having the same issues with my DROID RAZR phone. Ever since the last OS update I've had the following:
- can't send one-on-one text messages (randomly - works with some contacts, not with others)
- can't send group text messages (same as above)
- receive text alerts but when I go into the inbox there is no message
- sometimes these messages come in hours later...other times they never come in at all
- "Unfortunately messaging has stopped" happens multiple times every day. The phone is telling you someone is trying to reach you, but they won't send the text through.
I went to local Verizon store. They replaced the SIM card. Issue still occurs. They said it's a manufacturer defect. Not Verizon's fault.
Beyond frustrated. I share the same feelings as all of you.

I regret to see you're still having trouble with your messaging service, meyer846. We appreciate you already trying the SIM replacement. Please go to Settings>About Phone and let us know the System Version, Baseband Version, and Model Number listed. Also, have you had a chance to download the Verizon Messages application previously recommended?

alwaystao,
Let's get to the bottom of this! Are you using the native messaging application or an installed application? If installed try removing the application and re-installing. If the native application try clearing the data/cache by navigating to Settings>Apps>Find the Messaging App>Clear Data. Please power off/on and test.

Can anyone out there confirm this issue is fixed with the latest software update? I had to ditch my Motorola Razr because the issue had become so cumbersome. IF it is now fixed I'd like to switch back to the Razr and get rid of my used iPhone I've had to use in the interim. Please help!

Hi there meyer846,
That can be a difficult. Which model Razr did you have? When did you stop using the Razr? What software update did you do last?

I tried everything above - I've deleted text message threads, turned off the wifi & bluetooth, turned the phone off and one, and still, I have the same problem. Not only can I NOT send or read some of my text messages, but sometimes I show I have 1 unread text message but when I go through all of my messages there's nothing there.
At Alanwinn - Please keep us informed as to what Verizon does about your phone because it's obviously not our Google Gmail Account or SIM card.
Can't wait till this situation is resolved!
