Why do I keep getting a message telling me my storage is low?

I keep getting that storage is low, i have done the troubleshooting and have done factory resets and everything. im wondering if it has to do with back up assistant and cloud compatibility?  help please

I had a Dinc2 long ways back and I remember the storage space is rather low.  I used the SD card for all things not app-related, since apps can only be stored on the internal memory.  Could be a cloud service is backing up to the internal memory.
