Wi-fi keeps dropping?

The Droid X Wi-fi feature doesn't seem to hold for me. When I am home, I turn it on, it has the security key, and it obtains the address, and all looks good. Then I notice the icon that it has dropped the wi-fi, and I have to go back in to have it connect again.

Is this a bug or a feature, or a broke phone?

Have you attempted to remove the security code from your router to see if you can stay connected???

Does the router have a limit on how many connections it can have???

Can you connect and stay connected to another router...say at McDonalds, Starbucks......etc

Do devices need to have their MAC Address approved on the Router?

I know with my router I set it up so I need to approve MAC addresses that attempt to access it.

Just some things to check.

Thanks! That worked. I used the Wi-Fi at McDonalds and worked fine. Came home and put my MAC into the router.

Removing wi-fi security is not an acceptable solution.

There are no connection limits on my router.

I cannot stay connected on other routers. No other devices have issues with my router, only the Droid X.

My router is not setup for MAC address filtering.
