When you turn on wifi does it show you what wifi SSIDS are around and if they are locked. If so where do you see them and how do you connect? THanks.

After you turn on WiFi, go to settings->wireless and networks->Wi-Fi settings
You will see SSID's that are in range, and they do show if they are encrypted or not. It also shows you how good of a signal it has too.... the interface is actually pretty clean and simple.
To connect to a network, press on it, If you have not connected to that network in the past, and it is encrypted, it will prompt you for the network key. Enter the key, then press the connect button. If you enter the correct key, the network will show Connected below the SSID name. If you cannot connect, it will just say secured below the name.
