I love my Droid, but I have been having problems charging. For days now I have been having trouble keeping the phone charging and I have been leaving it in weird positions just so it would charge. However, today it died (ran out of battery completely) and now will not charge or turn on or anything! When I connect it to my computer the solid green led light comes on and if I plug it into the wall charger the Motorola sign and the Droid eye come up but then it just dies again. I need help!!!! I have removed the battery and SD card multiple times..

You have to put it in weird positions to charge? Almost sounds like a bad usb cord. Have you tried a different cord? That would be my first step.
If not that, then I would guess a bad charging port on the phone itself. Which, sadly, would mean you'd need a replacement.

I tried my other charger that came with the phone, and it does the same thing, and then when I plug it into just the computer the green light comes on.
-> I think I will just have to take it in and get a replacement, I guess. Thanks for your help!

Yes. I would say it's either the charging port, or the battery. I'm guessing you don't have another DX you could try the battery in? But yes, taking it to a store would probably be the best option.

If the battery drained down and powered off you only can charge it from a wall charger to bring it back... This is one of the unique issues that the DROID X has, the usb does not supply enough charge power to use the device and charge and if it drains a pc usb is useless...
Try the wall charger for a few hours and she should come back to you.

Hi Edgars,
I see that many forum members have addressed your post (thank you!). I trust that charging issue has been resolved by now as you mentioned you were visiting a store. Please keep in mind that your phone includes a one year manufacturer warranty and you may qualify for a free replacement. If your phone is within the one year manufacturer's warranty please review the warranty replacement process at the link below:
