Will the Bionic be able to be used as 3G?

Will it have a switch to 3G like the Evo because 4G costs to much and is limited.

My best guess is that it will switch automatically from 3G to 4G, much like phones now switch from 1X to 3G.
At last I how so, as it doesn't look like we will see 4G around here until possibly 2013...
(which I ain't that broken up about, frankly)

4G on sprint is only $10 extra and gives unlimited phone data usage. If Verizon goes like sprint, you'll still pay the 4G premium whether you live in a 4G area and use it or not. Hopefully the phones will have an option like sprint to use just 3G so you don't burn through the battery.
