Wired sync Motorola droid with Outlook Calendar

I've read the Active Sync doesn't work well with Motorola Droid and Outlook Calendar, without an app...

what if the sync is done with USB cable? will it sync calendar well without additional apps?

My office uses Calendar to schedule my appointments, and others have access to my calendar; so it has to sync just about perfectly for me to use it.

You have to get a gmail account. You can sync your gmail calander with the outlook calander and it updates every two hours.

Works flawlessly for me. Nice thing is you don't have to plug it in - it's OTA.
