Wrist or neck strap for the Samsung Charge Droid phone

I have been looking for a short wrist strap for my Charge phone mainly because it is so easy for this phone to slip out of your grasp when holding it to take photos.

I finally figured out what to do.  As you may already know there is a strap attachment point just above the  up/down volume control on the left side of the phone.  Then if you remove the phones back you can slip into that hole a loop like is on most all straps that are for sale.  Replace the camera back onto your camera and you're done.  It's so easy even I can do it!

The discussion that tipped me off was on the xda-developers site.

Go for it if you want a wrist or neck strap.

Vimitt,

Thanks for your nice comment.  I already bought 2 wrist straps on eBay.  One was $1.45 and one was only $0.24, yes that's 24 cents.  Both included shipping.  I bid $2.00 for the one I got for 24 cents because it looked shorter than the first one..

JerryF,

Thanks for the hint. I have felt the Charge is difficult to hold onto as well and was wondering about this very thing. Thanks for your input in this forum! I will be looking for a lanyard to do just what you suggested.

My wrist strap arrived and it is FANTASTIC.  I love it!  It is made with a thin (small in size) probably nylon material that is very flexible and it is not to long.

I carry my Charge phone in a belt case the type that has a magnetic catch on the flap and you just lift the flap to remove the phone.  The phone still easy fits in the case without any problem because the strap is not to bulky.

I do feel more confident that the phone will not slip out of my hand when inserting and removing it now that I have this wrist strap.  Even more important I feel much more confident that I will NOT drop the phone when taking photos because the way you must hold the phone when taking photos and pressing the various buttons is somewhat tenuous.  It would be very easy for the phone to slip from your grasp when taking photos.

By the way, it was easy to connect it to the phone.

Happy with my new Wrist Strap,
