I received my Droid Incredible 2 last week and keep getting the error "Unable to Connect" " Please turn on mobile network to set up account", but when I go to Mobile network under settings, it is already turned on.  What am I missing and how do I setup my yahoo mail to come to my phone.  Any help is appreciated!

@ chrisbad:  The problem you're having is the same issue i had with my Droid Incredible. I replace three of them before getting the issue fixed so as i thought. Now it starting again but with the D inc. 2.  There are a few things you can do.

1. if you know how to go to your widgets an install airplain mode on your main screen do that an when this acts up again press Airplain to click it on an then click it again an then your network indicator should fix itself.

2.go to the market an download Restart Connection after its installed an is in the app drawer you can press on it and it will restart the.  phone with out having to shut off the phone.  to use it an if want it on one of your main screens go to that screen while there open the app drawer an press that app for a few sec. an it will be pute on that screen for you an then you wont always have to go to the app drawer to use it.

Chris let me know if this helps or Not if it does'nt we'll go to the Next step. Ok.

Hello chrisbd,

Thanks for the community responses to this question! Your post specifically stated that it says "unable to connect" when setting up email.  Is the data connection working normally for other processes like web browsing or the market?   Does the phone show a data indicator at the top when are trying the email set up? 3G or 1X? There is a dedicated Yahoo Mail app available in the market.  While we can't support troubleshooting the specific app it has proven to be a very effective email tool for Yahoo accounts.  Please let us know if you are still having trouble with this.
