a good Droid X case?

Hello, i was looking into buy a case for my Droid X, does anyone have any recomendations?  I was gonna get a Zagg screen cover, but was wondering which case to get, or whether a case is even needed?  A friend of mine had busted his Incredible's screen just with a common phone fumble, so i was thinking about one of those rubber ones... Any ideas?

You can check out some cases here---->Droid X Cases

I find that the leather cases or pouch cases are pretty good. The rubber cases seem to do a good job too I've read. I wouldn't recommend going for those plastic cheap cases.

The Leather-bound snap-cover case with kick-stand is very nice.  It fits very snuggly to the phone and provides good protection.

With just about any fitted case the screen will still be exposed, but I believe a good case combined with the Gorilla Glass which the Droid X uses will minimize any scratches or help prevent minor drops from shattering the screen.

Here is the one I use:  http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/accessory?action=accessoryDetails&archetypeId=12211

It also comes in a Droid X box and runs $24.99.  I found it to be more protective than the silicone cases, it also feels very nice in your hand.

How easy or hard is this case to put on and remove. I ask because you cannot use any cases with the car dock or the home dock.

Ok, thank you for the response. I have the Shell/Holster Combo  case but it was hard to remove the phone from it and as I stated you can't use any case with the docks.

With my Droid X purchase, I ordered the Body Glove Case.  Now that I've received it, I have decided I prefer the Leather Case.  I have not used the Body Glove Case.  How can I get a refund on the Body Glove Case?  Anyone have experience doing that?

Then, I will purchase the Leather Case.

My order was On-Line with the Droid X and several accessories.  Can I take the Body Glove Case to the Local Verizon Store and do the refund there and make the new purchase?  Or must it be handled via On-Line?

I'm pretty sure you are going to have to handle it online.  You could call your local store and ask them just for ships and giggles.

It frustrates me to no end that Motorola/Verizon/whoever makes the cases could not have taken into accound that people LIKE using cases AND like using docks. Very poor.

However, I do have to hand it to Motorola... the extended battery is only supposed to be 1mm thicker, and the docks seem to allow enough room for an additional millimeter to be added to the back cover... nicely done on that front!

I have this case for my Garmin Nuvi 3790T.

I checked and find the Droid X goes in and out very well.  Snug enough when inside the case that the Droid X will not slip out easily.  This may be of interest to some.

Cost is $19.99 with a whopping $8 shipping.  I could not find this case on Amazon.com.  It may be available elsewhere but I did not locate it anywhere but at Garmin.com

Do a search on www.garmin.com by part # and it should display the case.

Carrying Case

Part Number: 010-11478-04
Suggested Retail Price: $ 19.99 USD

The Droid X would need to be "bare" when inserted.  Just enough room for the Droid X.  Put this case into your shirt pocket with the Droid X loaded into it and it seems to fit very well.  Then remove the Droid X from the case and place it into the Dock.

That seems to work smoothly.

The best. Might have to wait a couple days.

I have the Body Glove Snap On Cover MOTDRDXCOVBG. It seems to work great. It is a tight snug, not going anywhere fit. I have show horses and this case goes on my belt or my pant and it gets rough around working horses, doing chores and nevers comes off. I definately use my phone in a lot rougher environments than most. But I would recommend taking it off nightly to put on the docking stand, I had a DROID and had to snap/unsnap mine on nightly to get it in the stand, so I went thru a clear plastic case a month. but with the DROID X, it will stay in the Body Glove for now.  Let us know what you decide!
