apps start automatically

why do apps start by them selfs. they are apps that i dont use and were on the phone to begin with. is there a way to stop this or to delete apps that are factory?

Try keeping your phone away from external magnets like the leather belt cases (Like Verizon and many other retailers sell). Solved my random auto start issues with 2.2

I have read that the preinstalled apps like City ID run in the background even if you force stop it. Some people have recommened using Task Killer to kill these apps or other apps,but I don't think that phones need to have it to be honest.
