Is there a preferred way to charge the Droid X at the end of the day? What I do is select "power off" and then plug in the charger. An employee at the VZW store told me that I was wrong; that the proper way is to to charge the Droid X while the power is on. My question is this: what's the best way to charge up the phone?

Truthfully, either way is acceptable. However, with power off, the charge time is a little bit less than with power on. The older cell phones were usually charged with the power off. But this is a brand new ballgame. If you feel more comfortable with the power off, go ahead, however, you will not be getting any notifications nor calls, the one reason I leave my power on.

I have heard that it is better to charge while powered up, some phones even boot as soon as they are plugged in, though nothing definitive one way or the other. The only thing I could think of is that there may be some safe guards built into the os that are not active while powered down. But, again, that's just a thought.
