camera settings and/or apps

Does anyone have a standard set of camera settings that they use for standard conditions (one set of settings for dark in door use, one set of settings for lighted in door use, one set of settings for outdoor use, one set of settings for bright outdoor use, etc.)?

I seem to get inconsistent results in finding setttings for the camera. The settings that seem to improve the image under circumstances one day seem not to improve the image under the same circumstances another day. In addition, on some days all pictures come out with a very grainy look. Other days the grainyness is gone. I cannot determine what conditions/settings are causing it.

Does anyone have standard sets of settings for their Droid X camera to share? If not, does anyone have any favorite camera apps (that assume full control of camera function) to recommend? I have one recommendation but would like to hear more and try more.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Hope you are all enjoying your otherwise wonderful Droid X's.

I learned that the ISO on the stock camera app is the main feature that needs to be modified for diffrent coditions, 400 usually works ok under dim light and 100 works good under bright light situations but have you tried Camera 360 on market, this is what I use and it does well without tinkering with settings, Also others has reported liking a app called Vignette, I have tried both but I perfer Camera 360 myself..
