i haven't found anything on this charging question: does it hurt to plug in the droid to a USB port, do your stuff like transfer a few videos, 10-20 mins or so and then unplug it from the USB and plug it into the wall or the docking station to continue/complete the recharge?
thanks

You can plug the phone into the computer USB for as long as you need. It's perfectly fine! The only difference is that the computer USB will charge slightly slower then the wall charger.

thanks. but if it's not fully charged, can i disconnect from the USB port and plug it into the wall without hurting the battery? in other words, suppose you had 5% battery left and plug it into the USB - it charges to say 10%. but then you disconnect and plug it into the way for the remaining charge.
thanks

Perfectly safe to plug/unplug either at anytime.
You can also keep it plugged in for as long as you want... it will disable charging once it gets to 100% automatically.
