I connected my droid to my tv set via hdmi to view netflix and my tv shows no signal, and I do have my tv set on hdmi input.
That`s because the hdmi output on a droid x can`t display from netflix. Hardware restriction imposed by Motorola. There was an app called Realhdmi by gmanapps and I think its still on the market. Motorola only intended the hdmi out feature to display only pictures and videos taken with the phones camera.
That is correct, it only play uncopyrighted data through the stock gallery apps, you can use RealHDMI but its not perfect but it works.
