corporate sync notification issues

I recently bought a Droid 2 and finally successfully set up my microsoft exchange e-mail through corporate sync.  I can send and receive fine, however, the phone just refuses to notify me when new messages come in!  Most of the time, in order to see if I have a new e-mail, I have to go into the corporate sync for it to load.  Notification is set on and I have a ringtone associated and it is set to vibrate.  I have, in the settings, "Data Push" selected and a back up Fetch Schedule as 15 minutes (since I can't not select a fetch schedule).  I do not have Sync over Wi-Fi only selected.  There are certain days, about once a week, where the phone works great and I receive e-mails right after they were sent.  However, the majority of the time it will not check my inbox unless I go into the e-mail itself.  I just want my phone to tell me when I receive an email - every day of the week!  I've changed my power settings so that during Peak Hours (8am to 10pm) the data is always on.

Any suggestions??  I've been to 3 verizon stores with no luck.

Something of a "known issue" from my perspective. See https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/41033?tstart=0 for some additional information.

I have a question for you.  My IT guy and I have been trying to sync my Droid 2 with my email from work but we have been unsucessful at doing so.  Can you tell me how you were able to do that?  I purchased the corporate email but then cancelled it when I could not get it to sync.  Any suggestions

I wasn't able to use the e-mail on the Droid 2 - the only thing I got to work was the corporate sync that came with the phone (I didn't have to pay extra for it).  It's what you have to use if you have a microsoft exchange e-mail.

I've tried turning the "verify certificate" and "use a secure connection" on, off, but no luck.  Today it was working ok for like 10 minutes.  I also wish this site had notified me that there were responses!  Geez..  I got the Droid because it was the only phone that had Adobe Flash at the time, but now I wish I had stayed with the Blackberry.  At least then I would have received e-mails without having to check it all the time.

If you are talking about paying for the corp email service offered by verizon, don't pay for it, it's already included in your data plan.
The details of getting this to work depend on how your work email is set up. Do you know if there is an exchange server? Do you know the outlook web access address? There are also some specific things that in some cases need to be configured on the server for it to work correctly (certificates are a common problem.
Post back with some additional info and we can try to help.
