Going on a Cruise and only want to use the games app. Will I be charged for roming?
Do the games require an internet connection? If you have to connect to WiFi then you will have to pay the cruise line to have access to their internet. The last cruise I went on it was about $25 for 1 hour of service. If you are using your phone for voice calls it is $2.50 per minute.
My husband and I went to a travel agent this weekend because we're thinking of taking a cruise and the agent said that cell phones usually roam on the cruise ships.
If your game doesn't require an internet connection to work, you won't be charged for roaming.
To be sure, just put your Droid X in "Airplane" mode and play away!
I too would recommend you turn on airplane mode. Airplane mode pretty much kills all internet connection & even calling features. With that on you can play games to your hearts content without worrying about using the internet
