Hi,
Just got the Droid and have the 29.99 data plan. How much usage can i get with this before i go over and get charged more fees?
Yep.
It is supposedly unlimited.
Not "supposedly" unlimited. It IS unlimited. You won't get charged any overage fees. You can use the web 24-7 for the whole month, if you were so inclined and never slept.
Its unlimited
It's unlimited for what your phone can consume in a month. It does not, however, include tethering (using your phone as a high-speed modem for your computer or laptop).

Has anyone actually been charged for tethering yet?
so why if the 29.99 plan is unlimited they offer a $40 something plan???

If the phone is in her name, (not a corporate account) she should be able to switch to the $30/month plan. My understanding is that you can still access corporate email (even an Exchange Server) with the personal plan. The $45/month plan is supposed to be for "Corporate Liable" accounts, meaning accounts that are signed up as a "business account". If her plan is in her name, I would have her call a rep and confirm this, since that is and extra $180 in your pocket every year.
If, on the other hand her business requires the account and they are reimbursing her...
