I now have 2.2 when I put the phone in the cradle the screen dims after a bit and only show the time. Does anyone know how to change this?

There isn't a way that I'm aware of. The regular multimedia screen enabled when in the dock will automatically going to the bouncing clock screen saver if you use it. You can back out to the regular home screen and it won't go into screen saver mode but that's it.

After a few minutes it goes into the screen saver mode. Touch the screen and it will revert back to the regular mode for a few minutes.

I like it much better too, but there is nothing you can do about it now... keep looking for an app though... I'm sure someone will build one.

Now that the screen goes black, I can't see when a text notification comes in. I have my phone on silent at work. This is unacceptable. I hope there's a solution soon.

Try Alarm Clock Plus v2 in the Market. Same interface, more options, and free.

You can always touch the little home button on the screen or hit the back button and go to your home screen and it will stay on without going into screen saver mode.
