They probably assumed you had Droids so they wanted you to replace your batteries & backs into the new phone shells.
They sent me one of those after my battery drained w/o reason but it cleared up after a charge, but the Droid they sent me had a sticker on it that said "Like New Replacement" . I'm paying for insurance so they can replace my damaged phone with a NEW phone not Like New.
I agree...kinda crappy.

Yeah, the usually send refurb'd units with no battery, battery door or sd card. Assurian doesn't guarantee that you'll receive new units as the insurance terms says they can send new or remanufactured devices.

If you go through warranty, you are supposed to keep your battery, charger, memory card & whatever else. ONLY the phone is supposed to be sent in. Their supposed to tell you this before you ship it off

You can find micro SDHC cards (16GB) for nearly nothing on eBay. I saw someone get one in a Verizon store for $40, even though they list at around $70 or so.
I just searched eBay and saw prices around $20-$25.

The Devour is a less expensive phone, and crap in my opinion. Your argument here is like getting a free upgrade on a car you purchased, then whining because the dealer didn't give you a full tank of gas on top of it.
The refurbished phones do not include a battery or battery cover, I'm sure it was a simple mistake that they were not included. Mix ups happen, when they do you simply pick up your phone, then call and ask them to overnight the missing parts.
