When I receive a text I also receive a second notification text with the phone number of the sender...is there anyway to turn this off? How can I mute or turn off notifications while at work? Is there anyway to turn off notifications for emails but leave on notifications for texts?
Which TEXT App are you using? The various TEXTING Apps each have their own "notification" settings which are separate from EMAIL notification settings.
I`m going to skip your first question because I seriously don`t have that answer but to your 2nd question. Go into settings and then into sound. In this section you have the ability to adjust various sound levels. There's an option to use incoming call volume for notifications. Take out the check mark and another option should be there allowing you to adjust the notifications volume.
Your last questions dealing with email notifications. Go back into settings and scroll down to accounts. Locate your email account and uncheck sync email. you`ll have to manually check for new email but you shouldn`t get notifications every time you get new email.
