droid x ringtone apps

I have downloaded ringtones from phone zoo and cannot figure out how to get them into my ringtones. Can someone help?

1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located on the bottom of the screen).
   
2. Touch Messaging.
   
3. Touch the desired message.
   
4. Touch and hold the area outside the message / attachment.
   
5. Touch the desired message option and select Saves the ringtone to the phone.

Did not work and I am not given the drop down box that has the save as ringtone option.
