droid x2 or iphone4

I will open a new line with Verizon after 2 years with Sprint ,and I can't decide between the 2. I've had the EVO and I tried the Motorola photon, but even with dual core the photon would still lag. All I hear about the iPhone is no lag on anything. What should I get.?

This is really more your decision because it is what works for you but heres a little thing to concider, you posted in a Android forum area and it will be a good chance you will get a large amount of users that favor a Android device....

I am also taking you must not have a intrest in a 4G device because both that you are looking at does not support the 4G network, since I really am not a iPhone fan I would of course say go for Droid X2 but me myself is happer with my Thunderbolt, it is the only device that has the option to use phone and data at same time which was a big plus for me and what really amazes me that is does it perfect for me even on 3G network.

All I can say is look over device and ser what works for you and then go to store and test the device before making your decision so you will be sure that you will enjoy the device.

+1  ...   for ME, I would not consider replacing my (almost) perfectly working DX for anything that doesn't allow for 4G.  That's what I'm basically waiting on and will make that move in 2012, or if my DX ever breaks to the point I have to upgrade before then. As far as the iPhone --  that is definitley a personal decision.  Stack it up against whatever other phone you're thinking of - put them side by side in a Store and play with them for 1/2 hour. If you're a "specifications" person, READ it. They both/all have their upsides and downsides.

i wouldn't mind an iphone but will probably stay away because i've got a ton pf music that isn't compatible with the iphone & i don't want to redo all my music with itunes.

the dx is slick, my son-in-law has the tbolt & has used phone/internet @ same time once, so 4g speeds would be nice but i don't need phone/internet @ same time, assuming the iphone will get 4g..

junuh, All good advice, but most of all research, research, research.

Read all the tech sites. Read reviews. And do a little private investigating.

I have found most iphone users are defensive if an Android owner approaches them about their phone. So, I have devised a little plan of pretending to know absolutely nothing about smartphones (not a stretch) and ask them all sorts of newbie questions, when I notice a business associate, stranger, etc. has one.

They pour out all the information, good and bad. Very informative.

If you spend any time in this forum, you will notice the X has a history of issues. The X2 does appear to be an improvement.

No phone is perfect. It comes down you what you are willing to tolerate (in terms of troubleshooting) and like wildman said, whatever phone best fits your needs.
