Sorry, whichever service provider you use, go to their website and you will be able to do it quicker than on your phone.

Hi moose1,
Oh wow, 1600 emails is a lot to delete one by one. You can definitely login to your email account on your PC and delete your emails that way. If you would like to remove the emails from your device, you can remove the email account from your device and readd it. Follow these steps.
To remove email:
1. From a Home screen, select the App menu.
2. Select My Accounts.
3. Select and hold email account.
4. Select Remove account.
5. Select Yes.
To Add email:
1. Select My Accounts
2. Select Add Account.
3. Select Email.
4. Enter Email address and password.

I fail to see the purpose of this. Deleting the account from your phone will NOT delete the emails from the account. When you add the account again, the app will go ahead and download ALL of the emails which are still on the account when it syncs. You are now in the same predicament, except you will have used a lot of your data allowance if you do this while not on wi-fi.
