email syncing

I cannot figure out how to get Incredible to sync my email account.  It receives new emails but does not identify emails that have been viewed via the computer or those that have been deleted.  How do I fix this?  My email is @sbcglobal.net

You may want to check your port settings.  The settings are below.  Hope this helps!

 

 

Incoming                                                                             Outgoing

pop.att.yahoo.com
port: 995
Yes
smtp.att.yahoo.com
port: 465
Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Secure Connection (SSL) should be checked.

Thank you for the suggest. My account was sent up just as you suggested.  Do I need to do something for the SMTP authentication?  I do not see anything where I can check that box.  Or is it done automatically?  

 

By the way, the account is still NOT sycning with the phone.  HELP!  Please
