@ Gabe
Gabe I think if you USE those services you will be charged. Just having the app on the phone does not add anything to your bill. Just don't use any of them. A pirates life for me.
Not happy here.
What was wrong with the pros and cons thread?
Red98 wrote:Received my update a few days ago. I used the update from XDA developers instead of waiting for the OTA. I never had any other problems with my phone prior to the update. I am noticing the phone remarkably faster. I ran a quadrant benchmark and it supported a much faster phone with a score of 1250 versus 900 before the update. one issue I am having is my phone no longer connects to the Bluetooth in my car. I may try to delete all the profiles and start again.
I updated my wife's charge via the XDA developers and it had the same bluetooth problem. However, after deleting the profile and re adding it, it worked great.
Overall the update works great!
same thing happened to me... but my phone just keeps resetting, i would hate to have to do a factory reset... that would really suck...
Got up this morning , and to my surprise the gingerbread update was available, i chose to install, and it took round 15mins, now all my phone do is constantly resets , it only goes to the droid eyeball thing.... i hope i dont have to do a factory reset which i believe may happens.. that will suck... any help would be appreciated.. Thanks and God Bless you! i'll be going to verizon today!
rd1981,
If you cannot turn off your phone OR if it keeps recycling OR if the "cursed" RED Driod is stuck on the display try this...Remove battery, remove SIM card, and remove SD card.
Wait 2-3 minutes, all the time hugging your phone to let it know you still love it, and then re-install the SD card, the SIM card, and then the battery.

You will need to resynch a new profile for bluetooth, some things have changed in it.
Also update bluetooth drivers on PC and cars. Make sure you have a new version of MS Synch, or other car sfot, there were issues with some vehicles workign with the newer tiem set devices, had that issue with the Droid 2 global as well.
Anyone having probs with the YouTube app since the GB update? Mine says that I need to link it with my Google account again, but won't let me. I am able to go to YouTube on the browser, and there it works great. Any suggestions?
Otherwise, this Droid Charge with 2.3.6 GB screams!
My girlfriend had the same problem and the Verizon store couldn't figure out why. Good luck with them. The OS is draining the battery too fast with the new update. We are looking for solutions to the same problem!
My phone is hotbooting a lot now, but if I leave it off for a while, it's fine until I reboot it again.
When I am not having hotboots, my phone's performance is AMAZING! Faster, the former lag is gone, and data has been great and stable. Quadrant scores are much higher too.
It's the hotboots that are bringing my experience down. I'll try removing all cards and battery and then reinserting and hoping for the best.
I never used a whitelist app. I use AVC Advanced Volume Control. If your volume is lowered (usually from a phone call or media or hitting the volume accidentally), it will automatically bring the volume up to full.
However, it does it for calls and for alerts. But it is still working after the upgrade.

Just did a factory reset, so far no issues. Now to slowly reinstall a bit over 7gb of comics from Comixology's Comics and Marvel Comics apps. Ouch.
I wish Google's Market remembered all of the free apps we had downloaded, but keeping an open tab to My Account Orders helps.
