Did you install an app to change or customize your led cause sometimes that will mess it up if so uninstall it.

its software issue...there seems to be only one LED light that switches color...if you got the green light, then its working...the software needs to be updated/fix to correct this...

i tried a starting the phone on safe mode (to see if it was an app that was causing the problem), then factory reset and pulled the battery,. ETC, ETC (I HATE THE FACTORY RESET SOLUTION, ITS ANNOYING!!) ..

FURTHERMORE, recieved a replacement unit (shutter problems) it was preloaded with 2.1...everything worked fine...i proceeded to update to 2.2, the light went out.  I spoke with a tech support guy from verizon...he told me it is a know problem and that not everyone is expericing this. similar to what people are experiencing with their mp3s...some have the problems others dont.  im glad that this is the only issue so far...but ido want all the bells and whistles on my phone...and i want them to work!!  not asking for much...i want what i paid for...little blue light and all...

PS-i like my phone.

Have the same issue, but with email notification. The green LED flashes sometimes, but not all the time. Am convinced it is Gmail's issue and not the phone. Google is working on Gmail glitches and hopefully this will be one.

I know, doesn't help you, but your post caught my eye.

First make sure that you have the most updated software on the device.

From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch About Phone
Touch System Updates.
Then try  un-installing any applications that  allow you  to change the notification alerts.
Then dial *228 send and option 1 on the phone.
Re-install applications, then set the notification LED again from that application.
