getting apps to work

My new incredible 2 phone has Let's Golf 2 on it from Verizon, and it asks for additional data to download. When I say yes it tells me to download through a WiFi connection. Why? I have unlimited 3g data service. Why should I need a WiFi connection to download?  Is there a problem with this app on my phone and how do I fix it?  I tried deleting it but it doesn't give me that option.  The uninstall button is not highlighted to allow me to do that and then reinstall it again.  That was the recommendation from the Verizon rep I talked to on the phone. Can anyone help me with this?

For larger downloads, many applications will suggest or restrict the download to a wifi connection. Mostly because it is usually faster, more stable and doesn't count against users with a limited data plan.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Lets Golf is a pre-installed application and can't be removed. All 130 mb of it.

That's what I'm finding out. Thanks. How about an answer to why it wants me connected to WiFi in order to download the additional data? Shouldn't access to the internet through my data package be sufficient?
