either way you say it mine doesn't work on anything but the lock screen number pad ive done hard reboots turned it on and off anyone know what settings combination it takes to get it working again it started with the 2.2 upgrade a few months back and i ignored it as i thought it just got reset but now it just wont come back on for texts, web, anything but that one screen

Did you try:

Settings

Language and Keyboard

Multi-touch Keyboard

Vibrate on Keypress (green check)

The keyboard needs to be in "Multi-touch" mode, and not swype.

Thanks that was.the issue why have that seperate from the other button...oh well thank you
